Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast in Arusha, you will depart with your professional safari guide towards Tarangire National Park, known for its impressive elephant populations and iconic baobab trees. The drive takes approximately two hours, passing through scenic countryside and local villages. Upon entering the park, you will begin a game drive, spotting elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and a variety of antelope species. The Tarangire River attracts wildlife throughout the year, making sightings frequent and exciting. After a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue exploring before driving to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park
Following an early breakfast, you will drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet incredibly diverse wildlife destination. Game drives take you through lush groundwater forests inhabited by baboons and blue monkeys, open grasslands frequented by elephants and buffaloes, and the lakeshore, where flamingos and water birds gather. Lake Manyara is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, a fascinating sight if you are fortunate to spot them. The varied ecosystems make this park especially scenic and enjoyable. After lunch and an afternoon game drive, you will head to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Lake Manyara – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, the safari continues towards the legendary Serengeti National Park, travelling through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and expansive highland landscapes. As you enter the Serengeti, the scenery opens into vast, endless plains teeming with wildlife. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive, encountering lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. The Serengeti’s rich predator population makes every drive thrilling and unpredictable. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will arrive at your lodge or tented camp in the heart of the park for dinner and an overnight stay under the African sky.
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Begin the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti, when animals are most active and the light is ideal for photography. After breakfast, you will continue exploring the park before departing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers scenic views and occasional wildlife sightings along the way. In the afternoon, you may enjoy a relaxed drive or stop at a viewpoint overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most remarkable natural wonders. The day concludes with arrival at your lodge on the crater rim or nearby highlands, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive on the crater floor. This natural wildlife sanctuary is home to lions, elephants, black rhinos, hippos, buffaloes and large herds of grazing animals, all within a compact area. The excellent visibility makes wildlife viewing easy and rewarding. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend and begin the drive back to Arusha. The journey allows time to reflect on your safari experiences before arrival in Arusha, where the safari concludes with drop-off at your hotel or airport.
