Balloon safari over the Serengeti
An hour above the plains at dawn, then a bush breakfast where you land.
Launch before sunrise from central Serengeti, drift over herds and river lines at treetop height, and land to a champagne breakfast set out on the grass. It is the one add-on almost every guest says was worth it.
Pick-up is around 04:30 from your camp. The flight lasts about an hour and follows the wind, so every route is different. Pilots are licensed and the operators we use fly year round.
Ballooning works for most ages and fitness levels, though younger children and anyone who cannot climb into a basket about a metre high should ask us first. We will tell you honestly whether it suits your group.
